Nav Garayal has over 25 years of experience within financial services and specialises in devising, sourcing and structuring solutions for insurance, banking, real estate, fintech and insurtech clients. Recent deals he advised on include - EQT ‘s private equity investment into CFC Underwriting, a global leader of cyber insurance at a valuation exceeding £2bn. Afreximbank, the leading multi lateral development bank’s establishment of a pan African specialty insurance operation. Nordic Capital’s private equity investment into Riskpoint, a leading Nordic insurance agency. Having recently left his role as a partner at Marsh McLennan, he is focusing on supporting new ventures at early stage development as well as scaling a green energy start up which he co-owns. He has previously held senior positions within insurance intermediaries JLT and Aon and has been the CEO of an A rated reinsurer where he restructured the global operations and balance sheet releasing over $200m of equity value for the share holders. Nav was also a founding investor and advisor at Amiri Capital LLP, the specialist real estate asset manager which held over £1.8bn of UK commercial real estate. Nav has experience gained in the UK, Europe, MENA, and South East Asia. He graduated from the London School of Economics and is a UK qualified chartered accountant.
